As of November 1, 2016, nearly 80% of Dallas residents recycled at home - a number that has risen steadily nearly every year during the past decade.
At the same time, less than 1% of the reported 1,168 bars & restaurants in Dallas were believed to responsibly recycle their glass bottles, a number that has declined steadily since 2010.
It's a striking disparity, and one that begs questions: How did we get so far apart? And what - if anything - can we do to encourage the actions we practice in our homes at the places where we love to eat & drink?
There are answers, but to get there we need to dig deep.
